What this includes
An unfenced boundary is an opinion. Fencing turns it into a fact, and it is the cheapest protection available for vacant land.
Before any work starts
- Site measurement and boundary confirmation The line is confirmed against your documents and the survey record first. Fencing the wrong line creates the dispute it was meant to prevent.
- Written quotation, per running foot Material and labour separated, so you can see what you are paying for and compare it against another quote.
Choosing the type
- Barbed wire on concrete or angle-iron posts Cheapest per foot. Marks the line and deters casual entry; it will not stop determined encroachment.
- Chain link Mid-range. Visible, harder to cut through quietly, and the usual choice for plots held for future building.
- Compound wall The expensive option, and the only one that ends the argument permanently. Worth it on high-value or already disputed land.
Execution
- Supervised construction Our agent checks the work in progress, not only at the end.
- Completion photographs Geo-tagged, from every corner, filed with your other records, so the state of the boundary on the day it was finished is documented.
